Where to dive near Virginia Beach

I will be with my two oldest sons (ages 13 & 11) in July in the Viginia Beach area. I am looking for dive recommendations that would be good for 2 recently cirtified boys and myself.

I got certified by a dive shop that is just north of Va.Beach. It's called Common wealth diving, my instructors name was Dale Wichman.. He's very helpful. Exit 257 on I-64. Rt 17 in the washington square strip mall.. There's some kind of bus out in the james river that has some kind of history.. this is about 45 minutes to an hr north of Va beach..
