So you've heard rumors about the destroyer USS Arthur W. Radford (DD-968). It was scheduled to be scuttled this June, but things happen. Look at how long its taken to sink the Vandenburg. Anyway, the current schedule is for September, but my money is on next year.

I believe the location will be about 20 nautical miles from Ocean City, Maryland near the wrecks of the Moonstone and Hvoslef. The depth is about 150 feet. As you noted, this is a large ship, over 550 feet long and 55 feet across. This will be an impressive dive site. I can't wait.

For information on the Radford's history you can look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Arthur_W._Radford_(DD-968)

That would be a great spot ,Ive dove on both the hvoslof and moonstone and have a porthole to show from the moonstone.

I've never been to either the Hvoslef or the Moonstone, but I've tried a couple of times. What is the Hvoslef like, I'm hoping to dive it later this year. The porthole from the Moonstone is a nice find.
