9th Annual NACD cleanup at Cannonball Cave

Hey all, I am posting the following on behalf of Douglas Rorex. Douglas is the organizer of the Cannonball Cave Cleanup and also a member of the NACD PR committee.

We will have our 9th Annual NACD sponsored clean up at Cannonball Cave (Davidson's Blue Spring), on Wappapello Lake, Greenville, MO on Saturday, August 13, 2011. Starting time will be 09:00AM.

Trash will be picked up on the hill above the spring and in the lake outside the cave. There will be water and soft drinks available to those who take part as well as bug spray and a jon boat for transporting you and your gear to the spring. We'll also have a meal on site.

There will be drawings for prizes, and the NACD will include some nice giveaways. There will be a small gift for everyone provided by Amigo Dive Center.

Anyone interested in doing a little summer cleaning at this lovely site is welcome. You do not have to be a diver to take part in the cleanup and the drawings will be for everyone.

Should you require further information contact:

Thank you Douglas for your continued help in organizing this annual event and also to Amigo Dive Center for their donations.

Thank you Doug Rorex for spearheading the cleanup last Saturday at Cannonball. Doug was assisted by Ben and Amanda Perkins, Michael Tarver, Denis Forbes, Brent Cooper, and Steve Sullivan. They were able to remove a good bit of trash and debris this year. Thanks also to Amigo Dive Center and to Ed Pavey and Ozark Dive Center for donating door prizes. We will have more details in the 3rd quarter Journal. If you are interested in helping next year, mark the second Saturday in August 2012 on your calendar.

    Safe diving,

    Sandy Robinson
