    Odd critter from Mexico

OK. I know this isn't a sea creature. But it was following us around at Dos Ojos looking for handouts, and Dos Ojos is a popular dive site, so...
And that's not a huge long nose, that is a piece of bread it scavenged.

I can't get a good look at it. But I would think it is a white nosed coati (Nasua narica).

I don't know... I looked up the white nosed coati and it has just that; a white nose. This guy is white from nose to neck, nearly to the shoulders.

That's Pepe. Try not to stare or make a big deal, he feels kinda awkward to begin with.

One of the pictures on this page:
    http://www.squidoo.com/coatimunde
shows a coati with more than the average amount of white on its face, so there is variation.

Albeit a bit fuzzy, here's a photo of a Coati that I took while in Honduras several years ago. DSC00165.jpg
I would rather have a surprise happen-chance meeting with oceanic critters than pay to experience an orchestrated exploitation.
