    NC last weekend, SHARKS!!!

The link posted here will take you to a six minute video shot by Mike Gerken off Olympus out of Morehead City. The wreck is the Schurz, this is one of those you have to see it to believe it videos, it is worth the effort.

Now that is a shark dive, they looked to be a fun group of sharks and i think if that group wanted it could tear up anything with the teeth on the one. if they would just chow the lion fish.

The Schurz is one of my favorite dives and it is interesting to see it wrapped up in Sand Tigers. Typically there are only one or two on the wreck at a time. The usual resident sharks have typically turned up their noses when I have offered them a speared Lionfish as a treat.Maybe I haven't been presenting them right. I usually try to rid the wreck of as many as I can as this wreck offers some of the larger ones I see.

That is where I first saw this vid, I have watched it a few times. I would love to see that many sand tigers at once!

Great video!! The only time I have ever seen that many sharks was on the Proteus last august. We must have had 60-70 within view of the prop. It was something that I will never forget!!

Schurz is one of my favorites NC wrecks. Good to see the water is clearing up, we were down a few weeks ago and it was still pea soup.

What a great video, thanks. I absolutely love those days where there are sandies everywhere. Looks like you had amazing conditions topside too. And to end your dive with a huge pod of dolphins doesn't stink either.

Note to self, hurry up and get a thicker wetsuit for balmy November dive days. I'll have to ask some of the captains if these conditions are more prevalent in November or if you got lucky. First half of the summer was fantastic, last few months a bit rough with many a called dive.
For whatever we lose (like a you or a me),It's always our self we find in the sea.
