I registered for my open water this week, and spent yesterday afternoon getting familiar with the documents and assorted "stuff".

Sections 4 and 5 get into using dive computers. There's a code to register here: http://scubaearth.com/computersimulator

Does that throw an error for anyone else?

I've tried 2 machines and all the usual rebooting, updating, disabling ad and popup blockers and such.

I just got an error when trying to access the site. Looks like it's on their end.

You went through all that because you got an error message from a web site??

Hi,
We are the developer of divePAL, the computer simulator program used by PADI (see this post).
I can confirm that there is an issue with this on SE side.
This is being addressed by PADI and they expect to get if fixed by tomorrow.

That link didn't work for me, but I did happen to find this Computer Dive Simulator. Maybe that's what you're looking for?

Unfortunately that one has gone by the wayside...it was a terrific teaching tool, despite some minor editing errors.

error for me--but------they are screwed up(OR something is)---maybe-------ie when I go to Scubaearth.com & try to fill out their(free)registration from, I get a red box back @ me saying my PADI number does NOT match up to my birthday------hell, who knows back in 1985 what my instructor put down--------?????????.........:(

My bet---guess--:..it's Mr PADI(on your error thingy)-----look @ how far I can get using CORRECT info......I need to check my wife's number out there-----but---it's from vintage 1985,...........also......
