Well incredibly this is the last day of class and I am nervous........alot.I am not the best swimmer in the world and I have to swim my 2 lengths of the pool and trend water for 5 minutes or so.I almost have it in my mind that even if I can't do this I will do whatever necessary to make scuba a necessary part of my life,I won't be stopped!! Wish me luck.............................

Good luck, and consider yourself lucky. We have to swim 8 lengths (200 meters), then tread for 10 minutes.

I have my 2nd class tomorrow and its comforting to see other newbies in the "same boat" LOL

Don't worry, we did a 200 meter swim and 10 min treading water the 1st class. The 200 meter was not timed so there was no rush and you could float on your back and rest if needed. And the 10 min treading water was the same, if you got tired, just float on your back.

Thumbs up for your determination!!!!!!

Whew, everything was cool, and I definitely floated on my back when I got tired.......and boy did I get tired.OW on the 24th and 25th..........looking forward to it actually. But I will be doing plenty of reading so I will know what to expect.......Windmill Quarry here we come.........lol

P.S. Thanks for the encouragement........

When I did the swim test, I told everyone that they should all just go out to diner and I'd be done when they came back, maybe. I had just gotten over a bad case of a pulinary infection and was just cleaedr by a doctor to dive.
