NAUI vs PADI ?

What is the difference? Which one is more recognized through the world? Which should I pick to get certified?

Thank you

They are both recognized world wide as are many others. There are reasons one might choose one course over the other, world wide recognition isn't one of them.

Ditto what Walter said. There are many threads about this subject and there as many recommendations as there are agencies. The general concensus of those in the know is to interview instructors from all the shops in your area and make your decision based on those interviews. What you are looking for is an instructor that will provide you with a thorough quality course and who fits your learning style or preferences.

I can only speak for NAUI, and the answer is yes, you can take a NAUI AOW with a PADI OW c-card.

Pick it based on the instructor.

I'm a PADI RESCUE DIVER can I make my divemaster as SSI?

Yes ... until you reach the "pro" ranks, crossover is as simple as signing up for some other agency's next class.

BTW - SSI doesn't call it "divemaster" ... they call it "dive con". Means the same thing, though ...

Actually, SSI's Dive Control Specialist AKA DiveCon is the same as a Divemaster/Assistant Instructor combination. Most agencies have those separate with distinct duties. Of course, PADI uses DMs like they were AIs anyway.........
