Care to elaborate why you found it a problem to have Enriched Air banding on your tanks? I would think in most cases it would keep problems from occurring...
there is a thing that says that no label is needed if less than 40% it must be labeled if greater thtan 40% (partial presure blending) also if used in a greater than 40-50 % it can not be used for regular air.
problem regular air grade c/d is not what you get from the shop you get e/f better air than c/d. i have yet met a shop owner that can tell me what grade of air they have. they point to a air sample analysis cert. they have no idea. if they dont do nitrox some will refuse to fill the tank. 2 reasons ins co. says they cant serve nitrox. there are those who do a 1/4 fill lfron thier welding tank and ask the shop to top off. they get nitrox with the c-card. i have been to one shop that required removal of the sticker and valve prior to filling. bleeding to 50 lbs was no good had to have valve removed. my fix. buy my own compressor..
btw i am a naui certified gas blender nitrox and trimix.
I find this thread strange(?).
I have always used the same tank(72cfm, 1985 Scubapro/Faber HP steel tank, on its 5th hydro) for both regular air & nitrox. I VIP it & O2 clean it every year.
Am I missing something?

It seems that some where along the diving education train, people are told they have to have 'dedicated' tanks for NITROX. Or they are under the impression that they have to have 'dedicated' tanks for NITROX.
