    Scubaboard hospitality strikes again!!

I am pretty much a lurker here, but through my SB connections I have once again had an awesome dive experience. I mention this to new divers because I have been very fortunate with my Scubaboard connections both locally and when I travel, it is an excellent resource

Here in my neighborhood, ScubaSam is the SB Queen I was planning a trip to SoCal and she hooked me up with people whom she previously dived with in CA. Well, Teamcasa and Hislovelybride took me under their wing, as a total stranger, and were the ultimate hosts. I met them for an 8 am ferry to Catalina and we did 2 dives at Casino park, had dinner, etc. Then I got to hang with Dr Bill

I had an awesome weekend, don't want to bore everyone with the details, all thanks to Scubaboard.

Donna, nice to meet you in here. I know of you through Sam and Pam, they cannot say enough nice things about you. Glad that Sam hooked you up for the "ScubaBoard" treatment out in California. They are GREAT people!

Donna, despite the mileage, we SBers are an amazingly warm friendly band of fun loving miscreants. Sorry I missed your visit to SoCal, but hopefully next time. Over the years I have made many good friends through SB and look forward to many more. I know that anywhere I go on the planet, I will find a dive buddy, local host and hopefully make new friends thanks to SB.

PS: Sam, Dave, Marian, Dr. Bill, and Joyce are the bestest of the best of our shining examples of our SB community/family.

Donna, I'm so glad you had a great weekend!

Dave and Marian are very generous people Not only in kindness, but with their time as well. They really went out of their way to provide Sam and I with some awesome dive days.

Dr. Bill, mselenaous, Clammy, D_B, and Kimber definitely made our trip as well. So, yes! SB does rock in hospitality.

I'm a wee bit bias because I do think that SoCal divers are the friendliest folks.

However, I've been the recipient of good will from the SB folks in Texas this last summer.

    The dive community

Greetings Donna and I have found your conclusion to be true as well.
It has been incredible to be a part of the Scuba Board dive community.
From dive buddies to advice on gear, destinations, operators, etc. there is no end to the wealth of information. My local group of SB fellows is a incredible group of people, made up of a variety of different people from vastly different back grounds but one familiar love of diving! I am convinced that anywhere one can travel there are some Scuba Board members close at hand.
Thank you for your kind words and thank you to the members who assisted in making your experience a good one! This is why it works! Diving is way awesome and furthering it through cooperation is what it is all about! Keep it up.
    CamG Keep diving....keep training....keep learning!

Have to agree whole heartedly with the above thoughts
.. ScubaBoard people are the nicest most considerate divers I've met, and due to their hospitality, have made it possible for me to dive in places I might not have been able to
