I have the good luck to be local to Scuba Toys, and they are a full service shop, with all the gear listed on the web site typically in the shop (it's *HUGE*!). They also do full training, have a pool etc - IE a real dive shop, not just an internet gear peddler, and with good prices to boot!
I highly recommend them . . . they really are a class act!
Both Scubatoys and DiveGearExpress have exceptional customer service. I have bought extensively off both of them, and although both have made mistakes with orders, they have also both immediately rectified it for me at their cost. Can't ask for better than that.
Although I'm sure I'll get flamed for this, but Ebay has some good deals.
to the smart shopper they can offer a good deal but also beware. There are alot of Dacor being sold on their to the unsuspecting shopper and these are incredibily hard to find parts for.
www.Dolphinscuba.com Check out their website and compare their prices against any of the stores listed and you may be pleasantly surprised. They are also a brick and mortar store with pool and quality instructors in the Sacramento Ca. area and no I dont work for them but I have spent a ton of money there.
I shop alot on line and from experience can say Scuba Toys, and UDM have been good to me. Jim Lapenta has been very helpful and offers alot of insite. The folks at Scuba Toys have done the Same. You can compare pricing site to site shipping and all, but the cheapest price is not always the best route. Customer service is number 1 in my book. Scuba toys and UDM have great customer service and no pressure to make a sale.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For someone long in the tooth and a new to scuba both of these stores have Humans behind them and to me thats what ist about!!!
Try diveseekers.com. they just recently updated their site. Its very user friendly and they have a great selection of gear. All the staff are very knowledgable divers and can help you out on gear selection and configuration. Plus they are located in nj. They are very competitive with thema prices and will price match for you. Give them a try.
