If you ever plan trip to Hawaii I know in Oahu the morning boats are the deep dives of the day and the afternoon boats are the shallow dives. Usually 45' or less. Where ever you go, just tell the dive op. what you're looking for. I'm sure they can set you up with something either different times or different days during your trip.
Most of the dive boats in Oahu do a deep wreck dive then reef dive in the morning, then two shallow reef dives in the afternoon. A shore dive is another great option out here if you want to be able to get into the water without worrying about stormy waters and sea sickness. The key no matter where you are diving in the world is communicate well with the dive operation that you are interested in diving with, and make sure that they understand and can accommodate your needs. At Living Ocean Scuba we have the Scuba Instructor speak directly with callers so that we can understand their skill level and find the type of dive that they are going to be the most comfortable with.
