I have used one for about 8 years now. LOVE IT! I am very near-sighted (-6) and can see perfectly with this mask. It does have minor issues (water puddles in front of your eyes when you're horizontal and looking down and a few fogging issues) but it is so worth it. I just got a new one because mine was worn out and started leaking. Thought about going back to a regular prescription mask, but after trying on a few, just couldn't give up the amazing field of vision I get with the hydroOptix. Just be very careful with the mask to keep it from getting scratched up and follow instructions about defog.
Hey Dave.....Seems pretty cool..Only prob is renalea's review that it isn't really "scatch resistant" My equip. really needs to be "timex like" Takes a lickin....keeps on tickin? P.S. Hows that Super "dive boat" doing?
Rip roarin and ready to go LOL, just need finale tune up in spring, and mount dive ladder , how you been ? plan to be on the cape again this summer and brining the boat, so we must hook up again and hav some fun !!!
dave I seen recent post of not getting return info from Hydro, he is a member here and said to email and some still could not get a hold of him.
It took some work, but I was able to finally get them on the phone about 3 months ago, before I bought my new mask. I wanted to talk to them about the leak on the old mask. They said they were in the process of moving their offices AND they had no masks in stock at that time, but were expecting to have them available after the 1st of the year (like now). I found an optometrist that happened to have some in stock. Also, yes, they do scratch easily, but come with a cover to put on it before you set it down. Of course, underwater, the scratches pretty much disappear.

Reason: one more thought
I saw them years ago at Avalon' Casino Park where they had reps. marketing the product on site. Very cool product/concept. I was willing to give them a go - until they said you need to wear contact lenses with them. The thought of having to wear a contact to get this thing to work made this thing a non-starter for me. As a instructor, or on the deep job the last thing I need is something that has the potential of failing should I have to clear the mask, or lose a contact lens.
