Atlantic Divers in danvers ma will be running an ice diving class the weekend of feb 20-21.

Dives will be conducted on the Lady of the Lake, Lake Winnipesaukee.

All lines, harnesses,ice cutting tools, shelter amd food will be provided.

Steve, not to hijack your thread...

I spent all my summers as a kid up in Laconia/Merideth, and am just taking my dive classes. What can you recommend to dive up in Winnepesaukee?

I remember the water being exceptionally clear up there, and something about a train or ferry being just off the Weirs beach area?
 
I actually do very little diving in lakes except for the ice class. Much more to see in the ocean. With the exception of under the ice, I've always found the vis in winni to be pretty poor, but when it's frozen and has had a few months with zero effect from wind and boat traffic the vis can exceed 100 feet.
