This video was shot in mid-August at Green Bridge (Newport, RI). I thought when I was heading out that the dive might end up being a washout from a video perspective. At first the visibility was pretty low. Reaching open water it became pretty nice and I was having a good time. Suddenly in about 13 fsw, I saw a tiny little flash and I went down to investigate and there was a tiny little tropical butterfly fish. Only a 1/4" long, these fish are swept up in the Gulf Stream and arrive in RI. Unfortunately, when the cold weather comes these pretty little gems perish.
