diving nova scotia

was just wondering if there are any divers from the new england area who did any diving up in nova scotia. i am planning on doing some diving in the lunenburg area which is just south of halifax area. some one was teling me there are not to many dive shops up there and also is the c-card good up there or do you have to retest?? any help out there!!

Dove there in the summer of 2003. Fantastic diving. Dive shop I used in Lunenburg closed this past December from what I understand. You may have to head to Halifax to find a shop although there may be a dive charter that still runs out of Lunenburg. Your c-card is perfectly valid. It's in Quebec I believe where you may have to retest.

The diving in Lunenburg is very good, the signature dive is the HMCS Saguenay (http://www.adventuredives.com/hmcssag.htm). Your C card is fine. Not sure if the dive shop is still called "Jo's dive shop" as Jo was leaving the time I was there. I guess it changed to South Shore Dive Center but is now out of business. Halifax which is just up north, has a great shop called Torpedo Ray's. Best off luck!
