I agree with Magrone. I've been told by several retailers here in the Los Angeles area that they're not expecting any D7000 cameras to be in stock until March...at the earliest.
Just took delivery of a new D7000 body here in the Los Angeles area from a reputable dealer. A friend just bought on from them as well. Looks like the inventory is slowly trickling in. It helps that I had my name on a waiting list....
Why wait? The D7000 is a great camera. There will always be new models on the horizon to tempt you. The D7000 will not limit your photography, you simply need to find the subject, and compose and light properly for a great shot! - Scott
