    9/11

Just a reminder why the world is what it is today.
I find my self this year in the same place as 9/11/01, Adak Alaska. I will never forget that morning. Couldn't sleep so I got up at 0300 and turned on the TV only to see the towers fall shortly there after. The world will never be the same.
To all those that lost there lives that day and those that continue to die fighting for freedom, we will never forget.......
I don't know where I'm going but I"m having a great time getting there

i was going to start a thread if no one else had ... glad to see one up

it was five years ago today. about 3,000 people died. it was a terrible day.

i remember thinking, how bad does it have to be up there that jumping one thousand feet to your death is a better option?

    9/11 A Rememberance

I ask you to not forget those who gave all on that fateful day. I point not to the Fireman, Policeman, and Civil Emergency service workers in which so many cheer and praise.

I point to the civilians on Flight 93 who said Not today, Not us. They were Fathers, Sons, Mothers and Daughters who rallied to the call and knowing the risk was absolute faced that mortality and paid that debt "So that others may live."

They were everyday people who did an extraordinary thing, that to me is Heroism.

"...to the last I grapple with thee; from hell’s heart I stab at thee; for hate’s sake I spit my last breath at thee. Sink all coffins and all hearses to one common pool! and since neither can be mine, let me then tow to pieces, while still chasing thee, though tied to thee, thou damned LIONFISH! Thus, I give up the spear!"
