My kids said the same thing almost twenty years ago, now they both are certified. The first time we all dove as a family was on our 25th anniversary. It is the most fun to dive and share the experiences with the ones you love most

And I hope that you can find the time and place to snorkel with her... warm water is best... and if you can, do it somewhere where there are fish!
I have had my kids over snorkeling in Hanauma Bay and they loved it.
Unfortunately the daughters do not love the cold PNW water and have quit diving.
However my 4 year old granddaughter goes *scubin divin* with me all the time in the hot tub. She'll never be a PNW scubin diver though... she hates the cold.
My 6 year old daughter swims like a fish, is quite happy swimming along the bottom of the diving pool at 4 metres, can use a snorkel like she was born with one in her mouth. She desparately wants to dive but she has very mild asthma. It's going to break her heart and mine when I have to tell her she not going to be able to.
