I was supprized to find out they made a scuba diveing game thats right an actual scuba diveing game.

So I went to the store and bought this game so far its actually been a lot of fun the only downside i can see is you have to interact with all the fish to get more info but its a game and not real diveing but its still fun

YouTube - Endless Ocean

another cool feature is you can play it online with people as well

Does it let you Spearfish?

no but you lead dive tours play your own music and do what ever you want stuidie animals take people to see certain animals ect

I picked it up yesterday as well. If anyone is interested in exchanging friend codes to 'dive' together online, send me a personal message.

I have played it a bit more and I must say its really fun you can take pictures diveing with friends is ok as you can only do so much with the chat so much better if they had a better chat system like if you could at least type something in or use hand singals.. but you can take pictures make your own custum aquriam dive to 540 ft with special air.. some of it isnt very relistic like rideing the animals but it's a fun game thats all about diveing

I was just browsing the Nintendo website and came across this game. It looks awesome! How realistic is it to actual diving (other interacting with the fish)?

The sounds are pretty great -- the reg sounds like a real reg, and the water sounds are pretty realistic. As other posters mentioned, it does require you pet and feed creatures, which I'm a little concerned will encourage non-divers to do in real life. It also has you diving alone (or sometimes, with a dolphin buddy) which is also a bit worrisome from an example-setting standpoint. But I have really gotten into the game, and as someone who has done most of the fish ID/underwater naturalist-type specialities offered, I absolutely love the learning-more-about-the-critters aspect of the game (my husband said, "It's like they made the game just for you!"). I am pretty sure you can't really endanger your character -- it's much more of a relaxing kind of game than a run-away-from-bad-guys (or sharks) or get-bent type of game.

ETA: It doesn't have you keep very close track of your depth or air consumption (though it puts the data onscreen every now and then), so that's not realistic. But overall, I love it.
