yea, that was pretty gnarly. it even made the news last night up here on the eastcoast

Seriously though, last I heard he was still in critical condition. Hopefully he makes it and has a learned a valuable lesson.
 
we definitely those genes going back in the pool!! this was natural selection caught on tape! :D
 
And he had the chance to let go.....but held on. Oh well.
 
Kiteboarders usually have a harness that attaches to the bar with a quick release snap, but it might not be quick enough for the speed that this happened at. Ouch.
