I am off to Yellowstone national Park

Mind you I live 6 miles from the park as the crow flies. So when my wife's family was polled where to hold the reunion, they chose YNP. Last year was Catalina which was a heck of a lot more fun IMHO.

I will scout diving conditions on the Firehole and report back next week.

Can you take a trout census while you're at it?

The trout census was conducted via flyrod. They are plentiful and healthy. They were not happy at the time of interview, however. The river looks ready to dive. I will be getting a bunch together.

It really is a fun dive. The geology is amazing and there are lots of fish. Often divers find items dropped by swimmers. Jewelry is the favored item.

My two brothers are just north of there near Livingston. Spoke to them about two weeks ago and they were complaining the fishing was poor due to all the rain. Your timing must have been good.
