For the illustrious and talented Ontario Diver...

I have been racking my brain (took a couple of secs) to wring out the right words to the revisiting of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

Ontario Diver went down to a wreck one day
In the big lake they call Gitchagoomie
They had had a bad storm, so the vis was way bad
At three meters it was positively gloomy!

He had a big tank and had a pony bottle too
He was really geared up for big trouble
But the sight that he saw on the wreck that dark morn
Made even him scream through his bubbles!

His buddy got scared and he tried to bolt
But Ontario Diver did stop him
They swam to the aft of that ill fated boat
As an eerie chill went through them!

The apparition stared deep into the hold
Of the big ship that rested on the bottom
His appearance and clothes, well they looked very old
    His sodden expression was ashen

    Ontario Diver, he finally realized
What this ghost was tryin’ to show him
For it was all of that ore, and not the captains fault
That had sunk the Edmund Fitzgerald!

The captain was slowly nodding his head
    As Ontario Diver started ascending
The poor old lost soul had finally cleared his name
In this tragic old ship’s final ending!

Ontario Diver went down to a wreck one day
In the big lake they call Gitchagoomie
They had had a bad storm, so the vis was way bad
At three meters it was positively gloomy

    :tease:

    EEK Here we go again

    Diving Wrecks Is So Neat
(Dancing in the Street: Martha and the Vandellas, Van Halen, Bowie and Jagger)

Loading gear on to the boat
Searching for the best sunken treat
My buddy's here and the viz is right
For diving wrecks is so neat

    Going down on Saratoga
    Andrea Doria too
    See the Empress of Ireland
All we need is water, deep water
    There are shipwrecks everywhere
There'll be picture taking, memories making
    Diving wrecks is so neat

Oh it doesn't matter how it sunk
Its history, don't call it junk
So come on ev'ry one grab your tank
    Going down, where she sank
    We'll be diving
Cause diving wrecks is so neat

I got an inclination for wreck penetration
Inside the wreck is really sweat
I brought my reel wound tight, a halogen light
    Diving wrecks is so neat
    RMS Rhones in BVI
U-boats of the coast of N.C. now
    Can't forget the Yongala
All we need is water, deep water
    There are shipwrecks everywhere
There'll be picture taking, memories making
    Diving wrecks is so neat

Oh it doesn't matter how it sunk
Its history, don't call it junk
So come on ev'ry one grab your tank
    Going down, where she sank

    We'll be diving
    Diving wrecks is so neat

    "The Skin Divers Song"
To Pink-Floid's "Another Brick In The wall"

    We don't need no regulators
We dont need no Bouyancy control

No noisy bubbles in the water
    Divers leave this fish alone.

Hey DIVER! LEAVE this fish alone!

What we'r gone do now is just a-nother jump from the boat.

    (The talking part)

    HEYHO!
    Feel your lungs!
How can you dive if you Do'nt feel your lungs!?
You can't dive if you dont feel your lungs!

    Poet everybody! He think's he's a poet!
(Well, ok then, maibe Im not!!!)

We Need A Reason To Smile!

    Greg!
    How 'bout another song? I really enjoyed the way you exemplified the "ahs"! You know;

    Another one boards the boat-ah.
    Another one boards the boat-ah.

    NetDoc-
I KNOW you have a plethora of songs in that dissimilar mind of yours - can we have one more?

    Liquid-
    Just one more...please? AC/DC maybe....

    Ontario Diver-
How ‘bout the Partridge Family? Bet you could come up with some profound lyrics for that group?!

    one for Texas

I'm trying alot of new things lately might as well try this too

(to if your gonna play in Texas)

If you'r gonna dive in Texas gotta have a dive light in your hand
15 feet of vis an't for a carabien man.
so grab a regulator, a b.c. and make a plan
If your gonna dive in Texas gotta have a dive light in your hand.

    I rember out at athens,
    Hammer putting on a show
when a diver surfaced yelling YOU SHOULD SEE HIM BLOW
    you say ya'll wana picture
well the lighting ant that grand
If you'r gonna dive in texas you gotta have a dive light in your hand

    (refrain)

Even better (and possibly funnier) challenge:
    • The 12 days of Christmas...
This one can take on many themes including:
    • toys/gear
    • diver screwups (bends, jelly stings, chamber rides)
    • and any other's that can get silly
Pete, Uncle Ontie, you up to it?
Come join the NDI Texas Swamp Diving Team and see such wonderful things as....your hand before your face!

    Request by the Dweeb

Partidge Family......Well I'll have to ask my older parents just who they are....

This is from their theme song from the TV show. (I saw it in university - Ancient History of TV 102)

The Certification Authority (Come On Get Diving)

C'mon kid, It's an easy to learn SCUBA
    Come on, get PADI
A whole lotta training is what They'll be doin'
    Then you try NAUI

They all look the same but instructors are different
And it'll take some extra time, but YMCA might be better
Arguments always happens whenever we dive together
It really shouldn't matter if we're gettin wetter
Travelin' in Europe, There's other ways of goin'
    SSI, and B-SAC
A whole lotta confusion is caused by different training
    Let's just go divin'

    Let's just go divin'
    Let's just go divin'

(And no, this is not, I repeat NOT, anti or pro any specific group, I've just noticed that its a good way of getting on peoples nerves - so I make some fun!)

    Profound enough, Scuba Dweeb? :tease:
