I cannot recommend this book highly enough!! What an outstanding adventure/mystery/dive book. The author, Robert Kurson, did an excellent job of hooking me from the very first page. I admit that although I never had any thoughts of becoming a technical diver, this book was enough to convince me that I'm happy as a recreational diver. It also showed a very interesting history of technical diving, from the use of air to Trimix.
Be sure to check out "The Last Dive" as well. That's the story of the Rouse's...also interesting and very moving. They were the victims of an unfortunate accident while trying to discover the identity of the u-boat.
