I heard through the grapevine an unconscious woman without a pulse was pulled out of 7 feet of water at the BW, paramedics worked and got her started again, but she was overweighted, poorly trained, and fell in the surfline. I also heard that on the same weekend an underexperienced couple went to monastary, one nearly died. I haven't seen any confirmation of these incidents. Did they occur? I heard them through the grapevine originating from an instructor at the BW that is there practicly every weekend.

I know of two incidents that weekend.

Sunday morning, a male diver off Escapade began coughing up blood and turning blue
while swimming to the anchor line (had not descended). He was transported to the
breakwater launch ramp and turned over to EMS. He was released from the hospital the
next day.

Later Sunday morning, the incident with the unconcious woman occured.

These have been discussed here on ScubaBoard in Accidents and Incidents:
http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=113383
and on http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ba_diving/messages
(see threads titled "Incident #1 ..." and "Incident #2 ...")

I hadn't heard about the Monastary incident.

so it was already discussed here, its unfortunate that the accident forum has so many new threads that they only stay on the first page for a few days.
