Newbie considering diving with brother at breakwater tomorrow 5/22/2010

Can someone help me decide whether this is going to be OK? We are both newbies but want to dive tomorrow at BW to get some damn dives in before I forget how to do it LOL. I looked at Monterey Sea Conditions at a Glance and it looks like right by BW there is 6 foot swells and deeper out there is 10 foot projected for tomorrow.
Are we safe to fool around or should we wait and go with a bigger group?
Even better, does someone want to hook up for a noontime dive with us?

I might be reading it wrong, but it looks more like 2-3' to me. Visibility was pretty lousy on Tuesday, let's hope it's better tomorrow.

Tomorrow should be divable. There will definitely be some open water classes @BW, and myself and a few others will be there for Essentials.

What is a meet and greet? I mean, it's kind of obvious, but what actually happens? People drink beer on a pier then disappear?
