I was hoping to be there but will be running a half marathon in San Diego with my daughter that day.
AAArrrgh!!!! Really wanted to go.
Thank you for putting this together though. Was looking forward to putting my 2 Ocean Prowler 13s to work.

I have a question about Kayak diving. What is the difference between a fishing kayak for lakes and an ocean kayak? Is it stability due to a different hull design? I'm thinking about getting one but don't want to have to buy it twice. Also, is there any color to avoid so I don't look like a seal?

I would make sure you don't even come close to the weight capacity of the boat. The closer to the weight capacity you come, the lower the kayak sits in the water, and the higher the drag. I converted my whitewater sit-on-top to be VERY stable by adding outriggers. This made a GREAT platform for entering and exiting the water at the dive site - but a @^# to paddle out to the site since the drag was higher. I also notice the drag when putting 2 divers in my kayak vs just me and 2 tanks.

Dry weight makes a difference also. Can you handle the boat out of the water on your own? Will you ALWAYS have a buddy if you can't?

I like the custom Alhambra outriggers. Could you put your outriggers on a hinge and tip them up when paddling? or is that when you need them most.
