We (3 of us) burned two tanks each searching. Vis was horrible and the surge was really bad. I think it's probably hanging in the kelp and not on the bottom. He was holding on to the kelp on the surface when he dropped it. Comedy of errors, lost his weight pocket when he snagged the kelp, while stuck on the surface he dropped the speargun while trying to straighten out his gear. I found the weight pocket but no luck on the gun.
