We had 21 people sign in and partake in some great food, drink and conversation. Of the 21, there were 6 that were not certified and came to meet divers and talk about what it all entails. Glad you came.
We all agreed to meet each third Friday of the month......then I find out a good number will be taking a specialty class and dive on the intended weekend....so we will be planning our next happy hour to occur on 25 Feb, at 6 pm at Player's Retreat one more time. Yes we will branch out to other places but it is just the growing pains of organizing something new.
Hope to see more people there next time. Pm me if you have any questions.

Rich, it was a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to the next meeting. It was an awesome turnout for the first meeting!
I think Feb 25th is a great idea. Those of us diving in Florida Springs the weekend before can give a sort of trip report and show some photos during the meeting.

Great idea....and....I was thinking about taking one of the booths and sit down with the wannabe divers and give them some hints on how to find an instructor....some type of questions to ask....how to buy first initial gear like masks..fins...the like.
The first meeting was really just a lets see if there is any interest. Dang...there is a lot of interest !!
So on the 25th I think we can start to branch out and do a little more than just eat drink and talk.
