I found this camera diving FT Wetherill a few days ago. I you recognize the diver, let me know. I included all the footage except the last 41 minutes which was just the camera face down in the sand.

Interesting - looks like you've got a real mystery there. Maybe grab the best frame available of the divers face and post that up (around :24 looks like a good face shot)? 1920x1080 should be a decent image (assuming the source video is 1080p) do a little color correction and shadow lightening and you might have a usable image.

My only comment about the rest is there's no way the last frames before he drops it are what it appears to be. I'm intrigued regardless of what it actually is.
