Nature did an excellent episode on sailfish. Apparently it was only recently discovered that sailfish congregate in the thousands to breed. This amazing happening has yet to be capitalized on by fishermen, so for now the sailfish are relatively safe. However, the program did go on to say that the sailfishes' main prey, squid, are in short supply as Mexican fishermen have been harvesting them at a prodigious rate.

Anyways, the episode had some amazing footage, and I would one day like to see a sailfish myself while diving. They are such majestic creatures, just in appearance, even when compared to sharks.
