On a dive last week I experienced a low battery condition on my Veo 2.0 computer, which I thought was odd, as I had only had 2 dives in the 9 months since I had changed the battery myself (I know, I know...). When I opened the computer it became evident why as the battery compartment showed the battery had corroded badly. My initial thinking here is that there had to be some water intrusion, but there really wasn't anything "wet" there. With the low battery, the computer was still operating, albeit the display was very, very faint.

Is it likely the computer flooded? Assuming it did, given that it still seems to work, is there any risk in continuing to use it with a new battery?
