    WTB: Mako Scooter

All my friends have bought scooters. I need to try and keep up. Unfortunately they all bought XScooters. I'm looking for a Mako, hopefully with a re-inforced bulkhead.

How about a name there Yellowstone Diver?

You wouldn't by any chance be a veteran river diver would you? From around Cody way? Maybe found a friends's lost scooter and now think you need one of your own?

If so........PM me. If not........disregard and chalk this up to insanity.

Don't feel bad, the Mako is still a great scooter. The X-scooter has two main advantages - lighter weight (and a great travel case) and on the fly speed adjustment.

On the other hand the Mako still offers infinite, if not on the fly propeller adjustment, and has plenty of thrust. I was playing with mine last weekend and found it would tow two divers, each wearing doubles and dry suits at about 150 fpm and did it for 40 minutes with the battery still in the green. Not exactly shabby performance.

And a good used make will go for 1/3rd the price of an X-scooter.

Don't sell him one unless you have another for sale. If he gets a scoot then I'll be the only one without one.

The OP and this guy, ColdStroke, are the two that recovered my Mako that had been missing for a couple of months. Wow - They found it!

It was kind of you, Paul, not to keep my Mako for yourself.

So, anyone wanting to sell Paul a Mako, please be generous in your pricing to this kind soul...
