    Oceanic DataTrans Plus Computer

This dive computer is 3yrs. old and has served me well. This unit is for sale because I've upgraded computers. Contact if interested. Only serious offers will be considered.

    Includes:
    Computer
    Wireless xMitter
    Case
    Full instructions

    Product description:
The DATATRANS PLUS has virtually every feature you can imagine in a dive computer except one – a high-pressure hose. Tank pressure, air time remaining, and air consumption information are continuously transmitted to your wrist or BC-mounted DATATRANS PLUS receiver for the ultimate in dive computer freedom.

Prefer Nitrox diving or think that you might check into it in the future? The DATATRANS PLUS has you covered there with an easy-to-read graphic display for N2 and O2 loading for oxygen percentages up to 50%.

Oceanic’s trademark GRAPHIC DIVER INTERFACE of the DATATRANS PLUS provides you with an easy-to-understand status before, during, and after your dive with an uncluttered display combining graphical and numeric information. And the OCEANGLO backlighting system really sheds some light on low-visibility and night dives.

    · HOSELESS TRANSMISSION
    · AIR TIME REMAINING
    · OCEANGLO BACKLIGHTING
    · AIR OR NITROX COMPATIBILITY

Im new to diving and in the market for a dive computer, I really dont know that much about them yet though besides the fact that I want one! Is this a pretty easy to use computer or is it for more advanced divers?

karmstrong, this computer is very easy to use. Simple two button design to switch between two display screens while under water. Later if you choose to add Nitrox to your certifications, then you need to add a step to your pre-dive equipment check, where you set your O2 percentage. The backscreen lighting function is very bright for night diving, and again, just push a button to illuminate the screen.

I have all of the user documentation to assist you in becoming familiar with the unit. Many new divers here in Monterey have started out with this unit, because later when they pursue a Nitrox cert., they have a computer already.

Let me know if you have more questions.

What does hoseless mean?I have dove with 2 computers and neither had a hose, but I still had to use my guage to monitor my air, does this computer monitor air as well? If so do I need anything special for the set up? If you would like to PM me a price. Thanks

This computer is hoseless. Included with what I am selling is a transmitter which fits into a vacant high pressure port on the 1st stage of your regulator. This transmitter sends air usage info to the computer, so you can see your PSI remaining, the rate you are using your air and triggers user preset values for audible alarms. Based upon your air usage, the computer determines your approx. air time remaining as well as your nitrogen load(bottom time).

Both the computer and the transmitter are battery operated and the batteries can be replaced by the user.

    Oceanic Datatrans Plus

    Hello,

This sounds like exactly what I am looking for.
How much are you asking for it and how would you want payment? Do you do PayPal?

    Cheers,

    Thomjinx

There are currently 2 available on ebay for about 350 - 400 US. Good luck. One thing I found out is that they no longer make parts for the data trans plus. If that is of any help
