My husband and I won this computer at the Diver's Safety day at ROckdivers last month. It is brand new never been used and retails for $425.
My husband wants to buy me a U/W digital camera, since I had just bought him a computer in may.

Does that mean it has no proof-of-purchase and whatever other crud Suunto would need in order for it to be covered by their full warranty?

I got the book the warranty card and there is nothing on the box. It is suppose to be covered by warranty. We never have registered it. We can proably get something from teh Huntsville dive shop that gave it to us for the warranty. That shouldn't be a problem at all.

We would take that since we wouldn't have to make a trip to AL to get paperwork for the warranty. Sunto does not allow sales online just read it on the warranty card so if someone buys it from an online store instead of a dive shop like this one SUnto won't honor the warranty.
I just want a camera so 6 of one and half a dozen of another on that. I can get a camera at Leisure Pro or scubatoys.com cheaper than in a store here.

As for the warranty card, I think I still have mine because you can enter your warranty stuff on-line. I don't know whether the LDS also turns in some kind of records to Suunto/Aqualung, but since the LDS took my Mosquito back to send in for a checkup (apparently a very atypical problem) they already know where I bought it.
I'd find out who supplied the Mosquito for the give-away and make sure that they will comply with Suunto's warranty requirements.
