Pretty much. Using a JBL Explorer 24 for now until we relocate to FLA - then I'll go a Riffe. Using an Omer Abyss mask, Omer float, and soon a wetsuit from http://www.diveskin.gr/

I'm trying to make a set up like David Laird uses...

Hey ScoobieDooo, curious, how do you like your Omer Abyss? Also, would you be interested in a freediving forum? Tips, techniques, gear, reviews, etc...

I love my Omer Abyss. Its the mirrored version. I also own a Mares Target that is very similiar and costs about 1/2 the price as the Omer. The Mares isn't mirrored. I don't think the mirrored aspect is that important - by I thought it was cool so I bought it. I bought the Omer Abyss used for $20.

Sure I'd be interested in a forum. I'm new to freediving and I usually go to: www.spearboard.com for posts, info etc.

I think http://www.eliossub.com will work for you.. good suits, custom fit, good prices, although the euro is beating us up lately and so is shipping from italy. Elios has tons of neoprene and styles to choose from.. my suggestion for serious freediving, for sure a closed cell outside, their professional line of neoprene (usually yamamoto or better), and I like the super stretch inside for ease of donning but the open cell inside has it's followers too.. have to lube it up though to get into it. I would also say to make sure you get jacket w/integrated hood and high waist pants. Then you're set! My elios wetsuits are virtually dry. You can drop about 2mm in thickness compared to conventional scuba suits.
