Leisure Pro is closing out the Olympus PT-019 housing for $49.95. If you have a C-5000 camera, or a line on a used one, this would be a good low ball route into U/W photography.
I have the rig and they a fine camera, though 5 meg is a little small these days. I would love a back up one if anyone out there knows where I can source a c5000z. They take a high quality image - minbe's teamed up with an Inon d180 and an epoque wa lens. Have a look at my picasa gallery at http://picasaweb.google.com/peninsula99 for some samples.
re: backup
I just bought one off of craigslist for 150$ (incl. 512MB card), and you can find them on eBay (although people often bid 'em up to silly prices)
