E-pl 1 and Macro: settings and my results first time out

I am diving in Puerto Galera (Philippines) with my new buddies at South Sea Divers and took my E-PL1 for a spin today. Overall I am impressed but coming off a S90 with no strobe to this with a YS-01 I have a lot of learning to do.

    best of today:

I am using M with 9.0 and 1/60 and TTL. Finding it hardest to get the strobe not to flash so strong in TTL . Should I switch to Manuel? any settings in the menu? I changed to center spot.

I was told to try A and crank to F22 and set the strobe to Manuel and play with the power.

On a side note I had a battery (Enloop) EXPLODE in my strobe after the dive. Not fun.

    I'll set M, ISO100, F16 or F22, 1/160 - strobe M, depend on the distance, probably 75%.M, F9, 1/60 is my starting set-up for WA to check the BG

I think I really need to add another strobe though. maybe a YS-02. On a positive somone found a Inon 165 close up lens on the wreck and gave it to me!
