I have a 4040 Zoom and after doing a hot drop on the Duane
found the moving lens sitting sideways.
after messing with it at the hotel it popped back in
I just loaded it in the housing for some south florida dives this weekend and found it not the way it should be sitting
Has anyone ever pulled the lens apart on this model or had the same problem
I think I had the lens out when I jumped in
because this has been a tough camera
At sea world a year ago
the same camera was knocked off a table and then punted across the pavement :11:
I don't remember hearing of anyone taking the lens barrel assembly apart. I would contact Olympus and send it in for them to check out. Their repair costs are very reasonable.
