    Enterprise wreck

Yes the Enterprise is out there somewhere off the west side of Georgina Island out from Jacksons Point.Apparently its location is being kept secret due to its historical status. I have been trying for 2 years by talking to different people and going through the archives at the library to get a location and the best I can get is to 1. Get a marine chart of Lake Simcoe 2.Draw a line between Jacksons Point and Sibbald Point 3.Using 3 equal sides draw a triangle the bisect point is supposed to be where the Enterprise is located.I have gone over it dozens of time with my boat sonar and have not seen anything, So yes it would be wonderful if someone out there has GPS coords. Please let me know.

    Hi

From what I know this wreck is only sitting in 35 feet of water and shouldn't be that hard to find. A good set of Farallons and you should be able to pick her easly. Lucky I have three and a team of well equiped divers with OTS coms to find her. A fish finder is great for fish but lacks the electronic sensitivity to pick up a wreck laying in silt. This would be a great end of season project find her and tag her.

    Enterprise wreck

DMI your suggestions and ideas are excellent, however Farellans are expensive therefore I dont have one.But I do have a boat and an extra dive buddy and myself would be more than willing to help out if you decide you want to under take this project. One word of warning, The location that I said of it being in the general area of the bicected triangle is from an unreliable source , but 2 or 3 people have also told me the same general location. You know,It would be so much easier if they or whoever is keeping the secret would just reveal it.It would surely help the tourism of Jacksons Point.

simcoediver, if you are planning any diving in Jackson's Point for the wreck and need any help or have room on the boat, I live in the area and would like to be a part of the find.

    Hi

Yes! I have full intentions of finding this wreck and running a juged line to her just below the surface. I will probably start looking for her in Sept. I have the all the scooters and tools needed including my sub. She will be found for all to enjoy.

    Ping me in Sept.

Digging up an OLD thread I found while researching possible dive site on Simcoe.

We have a 30ft power based out of Lefroy. If anyone wants to put together a serious search party for this project, we'd be interested. Sure would be a cool project for SB'ers.

Does that mean DMI didn't find her? Come to think of it, haven't seen him post in a long time either. Maybe he got tired of us.

Well, all the research I have done has yeilded no results. I keep reading it is out there and it has been located, but, no one is saying where it is.

I'm sure going to be looking all the info I can find and see if I can locate her. Geeze - maybe I need to buy that pretty nifty sonar sensor for my GPS station!! From what I've read - the sonar sensor for the Garmin 2010 would be advanced enough to see a wreck on the bottom.
