Did anyone dive in the Toronto area today? I'm particularly interested in Humber Bay... how was the visibility?
We're supposed to be doing the Lyman Davis tomorrow and I'm hearing less than good things about the viz in other parts of Lake Ontario.
With that storm that rolled through I wouldn't be expecting too much. We had a night dive planned for Thursday this past week at Humber and scrapped it because of the storm.

Dove Humber on Friday - about 5 foot vis. Might be better by Sunday.
Thanks for the input folks. We decided to go ahead with the dive and had 15'-20' of viz, more than enough to get the photos that were needed.
Thanks again.
Tom
I did not realize diving right here in Toronto was common. I live within spitting distance of Humber Bay (base if Islington), and would be interested in learning more about dives around here and possibly diving them.
There are a few dives in the Toronto harbour area. The Sligo http://www.scubaq.ca/ontarioscubadiving/sligo.htm is the most common other than just a boring shore dive at Humber Bay to dive the sewer sections and toilet. People have run lines in the last couple of weeks to give you something to follow, but I'm hearing this is still something of a work in progress.
Some info on the Lyman Davis can be found here http://www.scubaq.ca/ontarioscubadiving/lyman.htm There's no marker on this one but the location is fairly well known.
There's also the Merril but I've yet to get on that one.
Other wrecks are just begging to be found and documented in the area. We are supposed to be examining two others before the end of the season, so stay tuned.
You may have to call around to find a shop who will run a boat to these sites.
