    Ice Report March 13

They say a picture is worth a thousand words so, I did a tour around today with my camera and came up with this .

    Summary
    Conestoga open water.
Lock 28/Kitty Halk - open water.
Lock 28 - Conestoga drift (thread the needle) Open water. Looks to be ripping current through the needle.
Rothesay - shoreline frozen. estimate open water in 1 week. in the picture the white floating marker is where the line out to the wreck starts. the water is approx 10 feet deep here. I do not recommend walking out on the ice and jumping in.
Prescott Docks. Open water. note the dive shop that used to be here seems to have closed down.
Centin Park/Blockhouse Island/Gaskin - Frozen estimate open in 2 weeks.

notes. from Cardinal - brockville along Highway 2 the river is pretty much open in the middle with about 100 feet of ice going out from shore in places. I saw no evidence of an ice-breaker or large ice flows. The Brockville Wall (treatment plant) dive is not accessible by car, it is barricaded off by Public Works

    Let the dive season begin.

At which local shop did you find Canon housings? Just curious, I'm starting to look around for various options...

the only place I've been able to find the underwater housing is online.. there are a bunch of places in the states that sell it for around $160 US. which is a pretty good price actually. I was going to buy it awhile ago but decided to buy the wing instead
