Planning a trip to Tobermory in late June. Any recommendations for good motels/cottages to stay at?

My preference is to be right in or near the village.

I've stayed at the Tobermory Princess Hotel which is conveniently located beside the LCBO. I can't recall what we paid but I think it was a bit higher than some of the other hotels. Check out http://www.tobermory.org/motel.html for a listing of most of the hotels/B&Bs/cabins.

Thanks Sean. I had found that list already, but just wondered if there good places that the regulars use that might not be on the list. I'll check out the Princess and a few others.

That's where we stayed also. Decent place, nice restaurant, convenient.

If you rent a cottage from the Trails End Lodge, you will have access to the best shore dive in Ontario - the backwall behind the cottage. It's a wall dive, and you can hit 100 feet about 6 feet off the shore. Its private property, so the only way you can dive it is if you or friends are staying there.

Thanks for the tip. I only see a 9 room lodge on their site. Do they have smaller cottages as there are only three of us?

Thanks for all the recommendations. Finally settled on the Wireless Bay Cottages. Worked out great. We had cottage #1 which was just ghetto enough that we didn’t feel bad about stringing up our wet dive gear on the porch, but clean, with clean sheets, fresh towels, BBQ’s. As an added plus it was only a short walk into the village center where the annual Chi-Cheemaun celebration was happening.

Dove with G+S Watersports. Really good folks and I would definitely use them again.
