Travel Agents Specializing in Tahiti and hotels in Moorea
I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good travel agents in the U.S. for Tahiti.
I am planning to go Moorea for a week after diving on the Tahiti Aggressor The Aggressor trip is already booked through my dive shop and I am looking to add-on a week. I really don’t want to book the add-on through my dive shop if I can help it.
I’m looking for a nice, clean, basic hotel (not a resort) preferably with beach bungalows. I am considering: Les Tapaniers, Moorea Village, Hibiscus, Fare Vai Moana and Bali Hai. I don't need much action (that part would be taken care of on the Aggressor!) but a nice beach would be good. I don't plan on cooking much, so a kitchenette isn't required ( A nice plus though).
Any recommendations?
Also, does one need AC at all, especially in a beach bungalow? I will be there early November.
Jonathan once bubbled... why do they need to be US based? You could try PMing our very own Scuba Jim who has helped out a few going to that part of the world....
We stayed at the Vai Moana in December and enjoyed it there. Be sure to get the ocean view bungalows! It's a small property without any of the resort feel or amenities, but still very nice people and certainly good enough accomodations.
See my trip report for pics. of Moorea and the Vai Moana.
BTW..Scuba Jim set up our trip too! HE's really not bad for an Englishman!
