Anyone went on the Paul Gaugin lately?

Hi, just wondering if anyone's been on the Paul Gaugin cruise the last few months. They were sold in August, I think. Pacific Beachcombers own them now. Wondering how the services have changed and specifically the on-board dive operations. Thanks.

I can only tell you that Regents Seven Seas managed the PG until 12/31/09. Beginning on 1/1/10 the management changes. I have been following this on the cruisecritic site as I have reservations in July 2010 for their 11 night cruise which includes the Cook Islands.

I dove in Rarotonga in April 2009. I hope you get to some better spots than I did.
After questioning them as to why so much of the coral was dead, the local shop admitted the coral there was killed in the 70's due pesticide and fertilizer runoff from the orange groves that were once big agro business there. After that, they had an influx of crown of thorns and currently the reefs are in a state recovery.
