Sixgill Shark Sighting @ Cove 2

A couple buddies and I came across a 14-foot sixgill shark last night at Cove 2. It was amazing. The adult female swam gracefully for a few minutes, then settled down to the bottom.

I took some footage of it.

    14-foot ... that's a BIG fish.

Wonder if that's "Blondie" ... the large female that the APLP line-runners keep spotting ...

Cool vid. I have a feeling I'd need to change my undies after spotting a large shark on a night dive
Just because you've done something stupid and gotten away with doesn't mean you're experienced.
Nor does it make it a good idea.

Great clip! I'm envious. All I ever see at 100 feet in Cove 2 is seals.

Yeah, and it's just the Cove 2 seals that like me. The ones we wanted to play with at Snake Island were standoffish and snooty.

The ones at Snake Island haven't learned to use dive lights as a hunting aid ... since nobody ever night dives out there and the seals tend to congregate in very shallow water ...
