Hi - I've been diving for about 10 years - started in my early 20s. I have about 40 dives with just over 24 hours of bottom time. Basically, I binge dive on vacation in warm water. I now own a BC/Reg/Comp and I'd like to start diving in the PNW but I feel that I need a refresher and a local intro. I have just one cold water dive under my belt...
My skills probably need a little brushing up and I've been having some anxiety issues as of late, probably due to getting more conservative as I get a little older (now 35) and probably because I haven't reviewed skills in a while. I'm hoping that by diving locally I'll become more confident and dive more so that I can enjoy those tropical destinations even more and appreciate what Puget Sound has to offer.
Can anyone recommend a good, patient dive center in Puget Sound that I might work with for both the refresher and an intro to a dive site like Edmonds UP? I'd like to stick to PADI centers. I'd also like to take an equipment specialty course to better understand regs and gain some confidence from a technological perspective on my equipment, which I think will quite a bit of the anxiety that I've had bouncing around in my head.
