I think Dumaguete can still be a good fit, the weather permitting. Good night life. Negros Oriental country side tours are being widely promoted last time I was there in April. There are some pretty interesting sites to see.
Btw, Rhoody, is August a good time to dive Duma, Apo, Balicasag and Siquijor area? We're booked to go there on Aug 20 - 25. I can't wait to go back to Siquijor! Loved it the 1st time!!!
