    Anybody know this place near Dumaguete?

    Welcome to Thalatta Beach and Dive Resort facing Apo Island, close to Dumaguete, Maluay, Zamboanguita, Negros Oriental, Philippines

    Or should I just stick with Atlantis? I'm going with a bunch of non-divers who need some decent beach and pool.

    Short version. Thalatta is fine. Not the level of Atlantis...but the price reflects that difference. Neither place has much to offer the non diver other than a pool and a beach...and some day trips.

    Atlantis is at least walking distance from Dauin "town centre" Thalatta is a long way from anything.

    How soon before you go?

    I'm going there for two weeks arriving next Friday

    I'll try and put a trip report up.

    I chose it off the net and the favourable reviews from various sites. Tripadvisor etc. Hoping it will be as advertised

    Its a long way to go

    I'm going in July. Also, I can decide if I should just forget about Dumaguete and do Siquijor instead.
