Alona and Malapascua in May

I plan to make a 3 week trip to Philippines in May. I plan to go to Alona and Malapascua.
Is there any problem with weather in May? I know is hot!
Anything else I need to know? This is my second trip to Philippines.

Generally no problems -- as you state, it will be hot, but will be well before the usual typhoon season. Good diving at both those places at that time of year.

I've done that combination a number of times. It is warmer and usually drier March thru May but it will be a bit hotter on Malapascua than usual due to Yolanda taking most of the palm tree tops off. I usually hate putting on sunblock but you will be exposed to the sun much more just walking around the island. Bring a good shady hat.

May is my favourite month in Malapascua. Normally very flat seas and often Mobula (Devil Rays) are seen in abundance. It will be warm alright! Trees are making a come back on Malapascua!
